Rifò

Founded in December 2017 by Niccolò Cipriani and Daniele Ceni, Rifò produces high quality garments and accessories, made with 100% regenerated textile fibres.

The project started in Prato, a historic textile district 30 km away from Florence. The startup transforms waste and old garments into new ones while maintaining the same qualities of the original products.

This method makes it possible to reuse waste and scrap, significantly reducing the quantity of water, pesticides and chemicals used.

SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION

In contrast to the logic of overproduction, we have chosen the philosophy of pre-sales. A sustainable method that allows us to create products and accessories almost on demand, guaranteeing significant savings in terms of CO2 emissions due to transport, and in terms of consumption of raw materials.

DIRECT COLLECTION OF OLD GARMENTS

We have set up a collection system for old cashmere and jeans garments to enable people to participate in the fiber recycling process.

SOCIAL IMPACT

Rifò wants to have a positive impact on society. The first step was the decision to produce everything locally. Then we thought we could do more: we started #2lovePrato, which finances specific projects carried out by non-profit organisations that have been working in the local area for years.
