MinAmbiente Third Report on Natural Capital 2019
Natural Capital means “the entire stock of natural assets (living organisms, air, water, soil and geological resources) that contribute to providing goods and services of direct and indirect value to humans and that are necessary for the survival of the environment whence they are generated” (First Report on the State of Natural Capital in Italy by ISPRA). The aim of this report is to provide an updated and comprehensive view of the state of Italy’s Natural Capital along with environmental information and data expressed in physical and monetary units. Finally, it provides an ex ante and ex post evaluation of public policies effects on Natural Capital and Ecosystem Services.
